Narrative
In the early morning hours of Monday, July 6, 2026, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Massachusetts State Police responded to reports of a vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in the Reading area. Before troopers arrived, the vehicle — a black Porsche 911 operated by John Tarshi, 25, of Lawrence — had crashed in the left lane near Exit 54A in Woburn.
No injuries were reported and only the one vehicle was involved in the crash. Tarshi was taken into custody and charged with operating under the influence of liquor.
