Narrative

On Tuesday afternoon, April 28, 2026, at approximately 3:35 p.m., a Wilmington Public Schools yellow school bus carrying children and a Jeep SUV were involved in a crash at the intersection where Shawsheen Avenue becomes Richmond Street in Wilmington, Massachusetts. Aerial footage showed the school bus blocking the intersection with visible front-end damage to the Jeep.

No injuries were reported, according to a spokesperson. A second bus arrived on scene and transported the children to Wilmington Middle School, approximately one-half mile away.
