Narrative
On the night of Thursday, June 12, 2026, at approximately 10:14 p.m., Topsfield Police responded to a single-vehicle crash at 188 Washington Street in Topsfield, Massachusetts, where a vehicle had collided with a tree. The driver, a 19-year-old male, was found suffering from life-threatening injuries and required rescue crews to use the Jaws of Life to extract him from the wreckage.
The victim was transported to Beverly Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead. Neighbors and bystanders who rendered aid at the scene were commended by police for their heroic actions.
