Narrative
On Thursday afternoon, April 23, 2026, a fatal two-vehicle crash occurred on Route 20 near Shrewsbury Lumber in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, involving a Hyundai Elantra operated by Gina M. Lorusso, 48, of Charlton, and a Mercedes SUV.
Lorusso was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the Mercedes SUV sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene or a local medical facility. A Rottweiler named Austin, who was traveling in Lorusso’s vehicle, fled the scene following the crash and remained missing as of April 25, 2026.
