Narrative
On the night of Friday, July 3, 2026, at approximately 10:35 p.m., Massachusetts State Police responded to a report of a boat crashing into the jetty at Salisbury Beach Reservation, located at the mouth of the Merrimack River in Salisbury, Massachusetts. Three people were aboard the vessel at the time of the crash; two were transported to the hospital, and one person remained missing following an extensive overnight search by State Police, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the Harbormaster.
The two hospitalized individuals’ conditions were not disclosed by State Police. The missing person was not located during overnight search efforts conducted from both the water and air, and the search resumed the following morning with additional resources, including the fire department.
