Narrative
On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, a fatal two-car head-on collision occurred on Beacon Street in Newton, Massachusetts, between Walnut Street and Cold Spring Park. An 83-year-old male driver, traveling eastbound, crossed over the yellow lane divider and collided head-on with a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
The 83-year-old man was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The two occupants of the second vehicle did not suffer life-threatening injuries. Beacon Street was closed for nearly four hours following the crash.
