Narrative
On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at approximately 8:20 a.m., an e-bike rider and a black SUV collided on Amesbury Road in Haverhill, Massachusetts, near a Mobil gas station and a Dunkin’. Surveillance video captured the moment the SUV, while making a right turn into a plaza, struck the e-bike rider, causing him to fall to the pavement.
The e-bike rider, a man in his 50s who was wearing a helmet, suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash. He was initially transported to a local hospital in Lawrence before being airlifted to a hospital in Boston. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Reconstruction teams from both the Massachusetts State Police and the Haverhill Police Department investigated the scene throughout the morning. It is unclear whether any charges will be filed. Full details are developing.
