Narrative
On Monday, April 27, 2026, shortly before noon, a fatal crash occurred on the northbound side of Interstate 95 near the Danvers-Peabody line at Exit 70, involving a tractor-trailer and a white Honda SUV.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was killed in the collision. The tractor-trailer came to rest on its side, causing significant damage to a safety barrier and spilling its cargo of mulch. The Honda SUV sustained damage and came to a stop in the grassy median. Multiple lanes of I-95 and the Exit 70 off-ramp were closed by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation in response to the crash.
