Narrative
On Monday, April 27, 2026, at approximately 10:57 a.m., a tractor-trailer and a minivan were involved in a collision on Interstate 95 near Exit 70, in the area of Danvers and Peabody, Massachusetts. The impact caused the tractor-trailer to roll over, leaving its cab upside down, while the minivan came to rest in the median.
The driver of the tractor-trailer suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. A substance was reported to have spilled from the trailer into the wooded area alongside the highway. Massachusetts State Police responded to the scene and lane closures on I-95 northbound and the Exit 70 off-ramp remained in effect for several hours before all lanes were reopened at approximately 2:40 p.m.
