Narrative
On Sunday, June 28, 2026, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Massachusetts State Police Trooper Jacob Mick, 31, of Northboro, was killed in an off-duty motorcycle crash on Route 122 near Milford Road in Grafton, MA. Mick was operating his motorcycle when it collided with a passenger car at the intersection.
Trooper Mick was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. Mick is survived by his wife and infant daughter.
The Worcester County District Attorney’s office is investigating the crash, and a meeting has been scheduled between MassDOT and local leaders to review intersection safety conditions. Full details are developing.
