Narrative
On Thursday night, May 1, 2026, at approximately 9:21 p.m., Lawrence police responded to the area of 63 Erving Avenue in Lawrence, Massachusetts, where they discovered a crashed 2014 Jeep Cherokee. Officers found both occupants — a 20-year-old Lawrence woman and a 20-year-old Lawrence man — inside the vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.
The woman was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead Friday morning; her identity has not been released. The man remained in critical condition at an area hospital, with his father indicating he may not survive.
